Teaching school hubs promote and deliver other high-quality evidence-based professional development to school leaders and teachers. There are a number of DfE-approved programmes and curriculum hubs where schools can access support and training, as well as non-DfE approved CPD provided by our partner schools.

The BBO Maths Hub are running a transition programme designed to encourage collaborative working between primary and secondary schools in Maths in the Bucks and Berks area. This project is for both primary and secondary schools, to find out more, click here.
Applications Open to Join the Teaching for Mastery – Development Project in 2024/25:- Every year, the Maths Hub looks to engage schools that have not yet begun the Teaching for Mastery journey in the project, and they are delighted to announce that applications have now opened to take part in 2024/25.

The Teaching for Mastery Programme is a professional development opportunity designed to support teachers in state-funded schools to develop best practice in maths in your school. BBO Maths Hub has an opportunity to get involved in one of five programmes offered by the NCTEM and Maths Hubs designed to develop teachers as experts in teaching for mastery and the leadership of professional development.

For Secondary Schools, we bring to your attention the I Belong programme which is a brilliant opportunity to get more girls into Computing.

To achieve the desired outcomes, the Computing Hub is encouraging every school to provide an event to encourage year 8 girls to see themselves able and inspired to take GCSE computer science - find out more HERE. For Primary Schools you can join Physical Computing Kit courses, two of which are being held at Langley Grammar School. The Computing kit courses allow your School the great opportunity to rent kits like Beebots and Micro:bits! To find out more information click here.

Life Friendly Leadership with The MTPT Project...
This programme is for school and MAT leaders, HR and SBM colleagues, and union reps working at branch or district level.
The five-session programme takes place online and is delivered by Emma Sheppard, Founder of The MTPT Project and co-author of the 2024 Missing Mothers report, which highlighted the damaging impact that the motherhood penalty is having on our workforce.

Support for Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Returners to Continue!
Colleagues working in schools across the South East will continue to benefit from MTPT Project workshops and coaching whilst on maternity leave and as they return to work. Colleagues taking a period of maternity, adoption or shared parental leave can also enjoy fully-funded virtual group coaching, with five cohorts running next year.
This year, more than 200 parent-teacher colleagues across England have benefitted from these programmes, supporting them to balance work and family life.
